Google 'hudz' and 'campagnolo'. I've seen them on ebay, including celeste.

Do you mean the second generation hoods? Because as far as I can remember they stopped making first generation ones, the ones with the pointy tops before they went 10 speed.

    1st generation:

    Hi,

I may have a source for reproduction campag hoods in USA. Will check out for you. Any chance you're bringing a Bianchi to Laochra na Laoise on Sunday?

If it's the non-pointy ones you are looking for, and like Vladimir Kurtains I think 10-speed are probably all the non-pointy ones, then a black pair is available here for €14.93 plus shipping. They are listed as "For Ergopower from 1998 to 2007", code EC-RE600.

Ahh naa I'm not actually. Hoping to get a nice vintage Bianchi over winter if I can at a reasonable price. Maybe I'll be at the classic runs next year:)

I think changing the hoods and having black bar tape will be better than what I currently have which is celeste tape which gets dirty easily

    Matthew,

You've showed up my age and interest - when I read 1st generation Campagnolo I was thinking 1970's - when you wrote 10speed that confirmed it for me, i.e. 2 x 5!

I did however get on to some good people in the USA so if any of you old-timers are looking for vintage hoods I have about 10 e-mail addresses for you.

Now all I have to do is write back to them and reveal my error! To make up for my error here's a pic of my Bianchi with
1st generation Campagnolo hoods and, admittedly, 2x7 speeds!

Class looking bike. Is that Celeste? Ie. Is that what used to be considered celeste? As It seems to have gotten a lot more green in modern times.

    Hi Matthew,

The green does look a little dull in that picture alright. That bike was resprayed in 1990 and I had kind of promised myself to have it redone for its 30th birthday (at least) this year.

I don't know if Celeste has changed, I doubt it, but that said improved finishes may have altered the look somewhat.

By the way did you get fixed up with the actual hoods you were looking for? If not one of the guys on the vintage list in the US has a set.

    Best wishes,

    Brendan

Yeah I got sorted thanks Brendan,
Hoping to get a nice steel frame over winter as a project and get in done up.
Love to end up with something for racing like these beautiful Zanconato's.

You seem to have some lovely steel bikes.
