What's up boards family. As you may well know, Irish people are a little inbred. :)

What has your experience been with people with the same surname as you but your not related to them in any way that you know.

Is it wrong to have funky time with one?

Have you completely ignored the fact and ye judge each other the same way you judge everyone else? (Normal answer)

Do you think or see that they resemble you in any small way?

Do you feel a sort of distant kindred spirit with one?

Have they been absolutely fantastic people like yourselves or have they been absolute bastards?

    Thoughts and non thoughts welcome.

I would say that it's more wrong/uncomfortable to get jiggy with a person who has the same name (first name) as your mother or sister. You just can't get over that.

Well thanks for preemptively explaining your absence; you really helped negating the confusion some of us country folk were bound to experience with you not being here; or there as it was..

Now off to tend to my field of winter turnip.

It was funny, everyone thought we were married

Same surname does not equal same bloodline, no relation , all systems go!

It's the "ickiness factor" that would put me off. See my post above about dating someone with the same first name as your mother or sister (brother in your case)....I'm thinking of things said in bed. Maybe I should get my mind out of the gutter.

ah who are we kidding we'd ride some of our cousins

Ah nicknames were the norm for both, never in their lives have they both been called by their christian name outside of school.

My surname is unusual so anyone else with it is related somehow to me.

Do you ever meet many of your own distant cousins from the 'Tangatagamadda Chaddabinga Bonga Bungo' clan OP? :P

Hey boss, I really like living here and like this country.

Have never and will never (probably) live in any other country. :)

I went out with a girl for a couple of years with the same surname as me. Even worse her brother had the exact same name as me too. So when we were out together and she'd introduce me to someone they'd often say "Oh, this is your brother", at which point I'd start kissing her neck and fondling her breasts. Always drew a few funny stares! :D

Only me and a far off distant aunt that actually got married have the same surname oddly.

The name is actually Gaelic for 'I like pigeon with sauce'.

My gusband's cousin married someone with the same surname as her but no relation, so she didn't have to bother changing her surname. Handy! It is a pretty common surname though
