Rare car but are they really that rare?
Hope that sells it for him because there's nothing else going on in that ad.
Doesn't seem like the most enthusiast st owner.

    Worst Ad ever.

I doubt thats true TBH. There's one in Ballincollig that looks a bit clapped out,so that would make 3 of the alleged 6 of them in Munster alone.

Unless there are only 6 of them that were original Irish cars and the rest are all imports. And when people are into Fords they are generally really into Fords and would know that kind of thing

I think that's the inference...6 originally registered in Ireland, but then he might mean in 1999 and mine's a 2000

You'd think the seller would have washed the car for the advert photos. I'd doubt it's being sold by an enthusiast anyway.

One sold on adverts.ie 99 Carlow reg last year for 900 euros

The Waterford reg one seems to come up every few months in a new location, currently on DD again.

It was owned by an old workmate at one stage, but knowing his history with cars, I wouldn't take the chance.

there wasnt a whole pile of these sold maybe 20ish , a few ford big wigs got them and a few dealer principles got them ,they were hard to off load as they were very overated. not a very fast car. we had a few origanal irish ones in for work and knew most of the cars from when they were new , not worth alot of money these days. still i would take a clean one if i got it , at the right money;)

151 mph and 7.7 secs 0-60 not fast enough for you? (for sale on adverts-ie if it's clean enough for you)

Hard to offload because of the price tag.

they may have been the offical figures , but they were no where near that , i drove most of those st,s from brand new on a daily basis and they sounded like they were moving , as there was a lovely sound from them when the secondary air flaps opened but that was it,.
nice spec but got me arse kicked by many a honda civic in them, but i absolutley love the colour i reckon it is defo one of fords best .i have a few st.s and rs,s in at the moment and it is defo the best colour.

Only 6 sold in Ireland? any idea if that's true...I ask because I own one of the other "five"

I have one and there's a red Sligo reg for sale on Donedeal

ST 200 came in Blue and SIlver with a few white ones for the Police. A red one will almost certainly be a re-badged ST24

edit...checked it out and it is an ST24 and it is described as an ST24

Ideal for those who can't get their hands on an st200 .

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 17,733 ✭✭✭✭corktina

Mines on donedeal and adverts at present so it's not too hard and although it is priced at more than that ST24, it's not an earth shattering price for a very nice low mileage car

corktina is that your silver focus st on DD by any chance?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 17,733 ✭✭✭✭corktina

I was thinking it was yours. Such a tidy car! I really like those st's. What kind of mpg is it returning, on average? I'd imagine that engine wouldn't be too frugal.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 17,733 ✭✭✭✭corktina

    would be better with a more timid driver.....about 33 mpg I think...the ST200 around 30mpg...(sometimes)

Nice ST200. My dad had a 1.8 Mk2 Mondeo Estate. Nice car.
