Weird title I know, however I'd like to know of some plants move/open or close over a period of a day or so. Ones that you would see an obvious difference in a few hours or half day.

    It's for a photography project

The only one that springs to mind is sunflower.

Any green fingered folk care to share?

    Thanks

Anthemis EC Buxton is a good example of a daisy like flower closing at night to re-open in the morning.

Calendula do too, and very easy to grow.

    California poppies. Eschscholzia californica

They grow very fast from seed. Flowers open and close in light/dark. An hour would have them all open.

I did a similar photography project on this plant years ago. :)

Gazanias also open and close with the sun.

Japanese Anenomes open and close on a daily basis.

Lovely spring flower that opens up fairly fast in the morning when a bit of sun/daylight hits them.

Closes back down once its gets dusk/dark.

    Lovely little spring flowers indeed.:)

A few years ago i sowed seeds of Mimosa Pudica(sensitive plant).
When touched the leaves would fold together and open out a few minutes later.
Fascinating plant. Kids loved it. Also closes up at night, opens out in the morning.
May not suit your photo project but an interesting plant.
