Hi, I've posted this in the motoring thread aswell so mods feel free to delete this if necessary.

I've got myself into a bit of a pickle- I'm due to fly to Malaga tomorrow morning for the week and rent a car. HOWEVER, I've just realised my licence has expired. Where I am due to go requires a car, so short of cancelling the whole thing can anyone make suggestions? Thanks in advance!

A bit of report card 'alteration' is required

So you've posted in one thread for serious answers and this thread for pickle answers?

Have you anyone going with you that you could transfer the car hire to?

It happened us on holidays before: my mother's license was expired and we only realised it when we got to the car-hire desk. They wouldn't change it into my name as I was under 25 at the time and we just had to resort to public transport. Car transfer from airport to train station, train to nearest town and taxi from there to destination. Unless my first suggestion's a goer, I'd get looking into the bus/train timetables.

That's why you get your hamburgers from Burger King and not MacDonalds, there's no gherkin to have to pick out of your burger before you eat it.

Your going to have a long taxi ride. Your only chance is to chance it and hope they don't notice its out of date

Hitch, taxi or bus. Spain's public transport is brilliant and I really doubt there's absolutely no way of getting to where you want to go by public transport or even a bus that will bring you within walkable distance from it.

Arrive in Spain. Pass the Spanish Driving test.

    Problem?
