Ever think about how much your employer actually makes off you? I know my employer earns over triple my wages a year from me doing everything and he rarely sets foot in the office. I could actually just take on the work myself instead of working in a office.

Should more people be setting up their own businesses instead of been your employers B****h. But then if you set up set up a business the people working for you are your bi****s. Oh the dilema

Why does working for someone make you their bitch? They took the risks and did the ground work and you're presumably happy with your pay.

I knew you'd regret that move to Manchester.

    I often think this.

But I always end up at the stage where if it wasnt for him, I would be stuck in a place I hated and i am thankful for him.

    He pays me.

    That's quite the presumption.

Its like renting vs buying. Sure you could make more money but your also able to just drop your job and take a better one if it came up and if the business fails you lose less.

I wouldn't hire someone unless I knew for a fact they'd be making at least 2.5 times their wage for the company

    You wouldn't hire anyone.

    You wouldn't hire anyone.

Have done before with mixed results, those who worked stayed, those who didn't were moved along after a month probationary period. It's easy to tell who's an asset and who's not.

2.5x isn't even particularly high TBH

I'd rather be exploited than have to be middle management.

The real money is in working for yourself. But the risks come with that too. Hey, nothing ventured nothing gained tho.

The only way to make real money is to have people work for you.

I used to have my own small company, back in the day, and it is only through the exploitation of other peoples' labour can you hope to make any profit.

Even if you're a farmer, completely independent and pulling product from the land, you can't hope to make money if you are doing it all yourself.
