Yep, we enjoy the proms. Tonight is the last night and is all very jolly hockey sticks, rule Britannia, but that's just part of the fun. We're recording it tonight to watch tomorrow.

well, as a UK resident I pay my TV licence fee and therefore help pay for 'em so yes, I line my kids up on the couch and force the little monsters to watch.

    nah, not really....
though last years comedy prom was excellent, and the kids prom with the Horrible histories crew was very good too.

    Haven't seen any this year.

Yes. I love musicals and classical music.

The flag waving sh1te gets me though. Bit too British!

I'm more of a Napalm Death man and a Republican, so classics, Elgar and the butchers apron don't do it for me, I'm afraid.

Saying The BBC Proms is "Bit too British" is like saying The All Ireland Final is a bit too Irish

"Last Night..." is a hoot and I'll be off so watch shortly, pity the weather is sh1te. Even though its a largely indoor event, its best watched as a warm sun sets.

    BBC1 HD 9.20 - 10.55pm tonight (Last Night - part two).

Top drawer sing along TV = brilliant, we never miss it, and hopefully one day we will make it to Hyde park to soak up the vibe!

Great nights entertainment. Wonder what would happen if they tried to add the Phoenix Park to the list of parks? Deck chairs and Pims in D8!!

    .......singing Rule Britannia:eek:.......I think not

We could mute that bit and enjoy the rest. Imagine all the Flags and the singing. It would sell out no bother. Might need some security though. Swedish House Mafia would have nothing on it.

The sort of ones that go to the proms I doubt would mind too much if a tricolour was waved or not. Im quite sure that in Belfast it would be quite a mixed crowd. Looks great craic.

That conductor had more musicians to lead than she could shake a stick at.

If we can go and march on Paddys Day thorough London we should be big enough to allow a concert in Dublin. Not sure with God save the Queen though. Could we do it for all the soldiers who fought in WW1 from Ireland.
