I would say you are massively overspending for a 1080p machine. 780's are horrible value as well. A pair of 660ti's would cost a fair bit less and outperform it significantly.

What will the pc be used for? 16gb of ram is useless for gaming. Nothing is using over 4gb at the moment. Likewise for the 4770k. There's very few games that take advantage of Hyper threading and the gains are minor at best. The cpu cooler is fairly crap as well. You could get a high end air cooler that would outperform that significantly for the same money.

That's nearly 2 grand on a single gpu 1080p pc not even including a good keyboard and mouse or ssd drive. Crazy.

If you have a look at this build I suggested for someone else you can see what you can get for the same money elsewhere.

    Hi bloodbath!

Yea I figured it was over kill alright but was thinking of getting a second 780 for sli down the road and a 27inch monitor in a few months. I would like a ssd but they don't store much and I already have a kickass keyboard and mouse.

What do you make of them hybrid drives from Seagate? worth it?
I was recommend that cpu cooler by a friend who swears that liquid cooling is better than air, I don't plan on overclocking to anything extreme anyways so would I be better off with air cooled?

    Thanks for replying!

High end air coolers and 240mm closed loop water coolers are pretty much on par in both cooling and sound levels. The one you listed is a single 120mm and would only match a lower end air cooler. A 4770k is a fairly hot processor. You would want a 240mm closed loop cooler like the Corsair H100i or a high end air cooler like the Be-quiet dark rock pro 2.

780's are terrible value for money. I wouldn't bother when you can get 2 x 7950's for less. A pair of overclocked 7950's would have more than enough power for 1440p. Why not just get a pair of cards and the 1440p monitor now when you are spending 2 grand?

Get at least a 120gb ssd for windows and your non game programs. It will make your pc experience a lot better.

I wouldn't bother with Hybrid drive's. Grab a couple of 1tb caviar blues. It's better to have more disk drives than single large ones. Have one for your games and the other for storing other stuff.
