Looking for somebody to fix a cv boot, service and change the brakes on a 99 Micra. Had somebody lined up a few weeks ago, but he seems to have fallen off the face of the earth. Somebody else has told me it wouldn't be worth their while. Well for some eh ?? It's a great little car to go and it's never given any trouble, just needs a little tlc

Are you looking for a mechanic, or just somebody on boards to do it in their backyard?

If you are thinking of doing it yourself (this is the diy forum) you'll get plenty of help and advice

Either will do. My mechanics stretch to changing a bulb or a spare wheel and that's about it. Looks like I'm in the wrong section.

Most people on here would recommend you use a good indy mechanic rather than some guy in his driveway.

if you give a location somebody should be able to give you the name of a local mech

No worries, I'm moving this to main Motors from DIY section.
If you provide a location we can help you find a mechanic.
