Hi, i'm just wondering if their's a database anywhere where you can verify someone's record claims? some people do be saying they've had no fights or few and then see them spar and it seems very hard to believe, and other people's record seem to be very complimentary, is their a database online? how the iaba keep track?

There is no database of records, Most Amateur Boxers would have no clue of their records and it doesn't matter anyway-In Boxing you simply fight the best around if you're in that categorary.

every boxer registered with the IABA has their own record book. Mostly kept by the main coach at each club.

Trainers would match up the fighters in terms of ability

In this day and age I think its something that should be looked at, a databse could easily be set up and make competitions match-ups much easier and fairer.

It really doesn't matter, In Amateur Boxing you enter what ever competition your standard is, then you fight who you're drawn against, Record wouldn't have any bearing on it, nor should it, That's how you find out who is the best

Also Coaches wouldn't be putting lads into comps that they where not at the level.
