This is something I just don't understand at all. Why do people upload videos of themselves doing stupid things to YouTube? I mean things like them doing something stupid and falling.

    Take this video for example:

The young girl falls and obviously injures herself. Who put it on YouTube? Did she? Her parents? Her friends?

It just seems that the internet has made people go to any lengths to get attention and to get noticed.

If other people stopped doing stupid things, who would we give out about?

A lot of them are fakes and virals.

To get the next viral video and appear on Gay William Johnson's next upload.

Then they think they can start a youtube career and make loads of money.

In situations like these, its perfectly acceptable to further injure the uploader and person in the video

I'd say she put that video up herself to get attention. She so clearly telegraphed the "fall and the injury". If that was a regular household and you heard a big bang coming from the room one of your kids were in you's at least shout to see if everything's okay or go check it out yourself.

Some of the videos where something legitimately goes awry can be quite entertaining. This always cheers me up
