Hi guys, have a amiko hd 8840 , got a year ago in a shop near harolds cross ( in a converted garage up a back lane, some foreign guys) .
He gave me a WiFi dongle , amiko too, Ro pick up WiFi on the receiver.

Well I never really bothered with it but can anyone tell me why the hell it won't find my WiFi when scanning? It's close to it, everything else in the house connects to WiFi no hassle....

I have a password on my router but wouldn't the sat receiver still show the WiFi on the found connection list ?

I'm lost with it lol !

have you tried the dongle on a PC? most are windows compatible, might be easier to troubleshoot from there than on the Amiko

Plugged it in and nothing , light came on it briefly but no auto driver install or the likes ...

It's odd that the receiver doesn't even find my home WiFi using the dongle...

btw is your wifi on 2.4ghz or 5ghz ? older wifi dongles may not be compatible with 5 so wont see it, also presumably you are broadcasting your SSID....

here are the drivers, if it still doesn't work on the PC and you are broadcasting your SSID & using 2.4ghz then it could well be dead
