    Why did they near evacuate the town because of someone in a pub cellar? Bit dramatic no?

    Probably a Dublin scummer gangland criminal.Cavan seems to be a favourite spot for them to move to for some reason.

    Love the sarcastic replies as to why evacuate and it being a Cavan man in a cellar. Never let facts get in the way eh?

    Woman found dead with gun wounds after violent assault. Gardai question a man who knew her, but he produced a gun in the pub before locking himself in. Fair play to the guards for having everyone cleared out and most of all for ending it peacefully. No further loss of life and the guy is arrested.

    The last kid (I think at least one of the four is a girl) only left for Australia yesterday and is reported to be heading back home now. :(

    Her estranged husband has been arrested. What a nightmare for them.

    There's nothing about women being abusive to men though, I've noticed? Obviously nobody deserves to get murdered, and no disrespect to this case, but it isn't only women who are abused and murdered by their partners. It's a lot more common than you may think. Why is everything an anti man issue with you?

    Shooting a man four times who fired 13 shots at unarmed and armed Garda officers after warning him more than 5 times to put down his weapon.

    What were they supposed to do? Let him kill the Guards, or try to 'shoot the shotgun out of his hand like in de movies'?

    Deranged or not, if you shoot at Police officers 13 times anywhere in the world you're going to be shot back at.
