I was just wondering if everyone who has applied has received their back to education for the coming year?My course has just started and I havnt received anything from them.I applied in June and didn't hear anything back so went up to social welfare last week to find out what was going on.Was told there was no trace of my application until the girl found it in the back and then sent it off.She also said there was a back log aswell and dat was also creating problems? She then told me to start the course and keep collecting my social welfare until I find out about it because I will definitely get beta.I was wondering is this the best way to go about things incase I don't get accepted for beta?Would I b better off getting something in writing?

I received my BTEA confirmation after about a week. I'm not sure about the staying on welfare thing though. Sounds a little murky. Can they really let you do that? I'd get further confirmation just in case.

Is there any reason why you wont get accepted?

Its the same with everyone with the wait and the backlogs. Now that the found your form though they might do it quicker. Thats normal but did you not sit down with them already and they say theres no reason not to be accepted?

OP I had the same problem was afraid that if I registered I may not get in but I was advised on here that I practically have it so you should be ok.

I did get a letter that provisionally accepted me though. I just need to give over confirmation of registration and I get paid.

I have collected my normal money last Wednesday. I will collect it tomorow too. I havnt handed in a confirmation letter (so I get paid) as I am waiting on it off the college.

Will I get backpayed for the first two weeks as in the first two weeks I am very tight for money as I am travelling a bit and on normal dole(100) when I should be on my BTEA(160) now as my course started last week.

I mean, will i get that extra 60 x 2 as in the last two weeks I have been attending. I need to state when my course started also so surely since it started last week I should be getting more money or get backlogged the extra money as I have had to travel and buy things for the course in the last 10 days.

It's not my problem the college are taking to long to send me the letter that I am registered(Started date etc.).

Not a cent of backpay will be given BUT these delays will one day benefit you.

Last summer it was literally August before they processed my claim again for reduction. My money was only reduced for about 4 weeks then put back up again. So them being slow at the end of the year will hopefully benefit you.

On the dole people usually have to pay back what they where overpaid but not on BTEA it seems. I didnt anyway after being overpaid for 3 months.

Alright. And they never gave you any bother? I suppose that is there problem.

I'l be grand anyway but was just wondering as it could be another week before I get that letter.

Good news. Backpay will be paid according to dole office. I was in there and asked.

    Got nothing last year.

Paid back to first day of lectures.

You get back paid to the date on the letter that you hand in. The date you start back at college, got back paid to this last year as well.

    Ok.

So I started on the 2nd(two weeks ago) and handed letter in on Thursday.

Will I get them 2 weeks of 160 euro as back pay? Is this definite? It makes the most sense as I have been attending since that date so I should be paid as BTEA and have been fairly stuck for money in the last week or that.

Do you get it during your first bank payment? What day do they pay into bank
