    From me: Monday I picked up a couple of random strangers and drove them from Stradbally to Dublin (going quite out of my way as i live in Westmeath.

    To me: The car in front of me paid the toll on the way to Dublin a couple of years back.

    I think Karma works; if someones openly nice to you, it usually means that you will be nice to someone else (even just the once).

    No such thing as karma really, it either happens or it doesn't - it'd be kinda like saying there's a "50/50 chance of winning the lotto", you do or you don't, when in reality it's not like that at all...

    That's not karma, that's just treating others based on how you are treated.

    If everyone treated you like crap constantly it would be hard to stay in a good mood and maintain a nice attitude towards others.

    I dunno if you could count it as Karma but i constantly look for ways to help people,
    Change a car tyre in the rain, done.
    return someones wages? done,
    return someones phone? done,
    return someones wallet? done,
    Push cars out of the sand? done
    Help old ladies with their shopping? done,
    ya know all the usual stuff and things have gone my way in the past where i've been lucky in a karma way i guess, I've had phones and wallets returned.

    There is a difference in Karma and Passing it on though.

    I've paid for someones food in a chipper before (a what seemed like new couple) were trying to figure out what to get and were counting their change. He wanted something she wanted something else (chicken and fish or something) he decided to go with her choice so i bought his food, didn't say anything just told the one in the counter and told her to tell him pass it on. The reason? i had someone buy me a burger at a chipper before when i read the menu wrong.

    Once when I was in college I decided to go to the bookies for a bet on the Champions league matches that were on that night. I took my last 4 euro intending to put it all on a Wayne Rooney & Lionel Messi first goalscorer double.

    When I got on the street I passed a guy begging for money but walked on past. In the bookies I thought of the man and instead put on the bet twice for 2 euro each. When I passed him again I gave him one of the slips and told him its worth 40 euro if it wins.

    It won. We got 40 euro each. Never saw him again though. Hope he cashed it..
