Every time I've smoked all I could think was how hungry I was. and that everything was just slightly better than before.
    Got confused quite easily too.

As a smoker for me its just feeding a habit I've tried to kick numerous times and failed. I never think about the money side of it or the consequences of my smoking.

(If this is for smokers only I suggest its moved to the smokers thread.)

it's the smell of the sulphur off the match lighting that does it for me!!

I don't want to be a senile, incontinent cripple consisting of saggy wrinkly skin with broken and cracked bones, so smoking is ensuring I won't have to endure this.

    :)

I quit smoking a while ago but at the time I used to love that first smoke in the morning and one if I'd just got off a long haul flight. To be honest I never really thought about the health effects, back of my mind I figured I'd always quit some day and I'd be able to reverse any of the damage I've done. It's only since being off the smokes that I've noticed an improvement health wise, but it's been very gradual. That's the thing, they kill you slowly and day to day you don't notice the damage they do.

Oh god yes. Really helped the digestion too. May not be psychomatic either as smokers have near zero incidence of ulcerative colitis.

I found it helped me focus. When I was off ciggies for over a year my memory and concentration went to shít. Like really badly. Given nicotine has been shown to be more effective in treating ADHD than other therapies maybe that's it. in other words I and others who are/were very addicted to nicotine were undiagnosed ADHD types. After all the condition used to be considered a childhood ailment, but when researchers looked more closely they found the ADHD kids were overwhelmingly likely to be chronic adult smokers. More adult ADHD folks are showing up now and it has been suggested that people being healthier and avoiding tobacco(good) is part of that. Me I went for the vaping and that sorted my "need" out.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

Where do you get all this information? I'm not convinced you're human at this stage! :pac:
I don't think I have ADHD, suppose I'll have to quit to find out.
