My big wish is travel.

Something to beat the jet plane. Getting to Sydney in 10 mins for example. Would really change the world.

2 domestic ones:

A silent vacuum cleaner: all my life the Hoover, Nilfisk an Dyson have all improve performance and fancy colours but they are the nosiest bloody machine in the house, drives me mad, surely they could make them quieter?

Also, ironing, apart from the fancy machines etc, it's still exact same as I was growing up, standing at a board for hours and ironing, that needs to change!

Lastly, I hate noise (see vacuum cleaner) and I'd love to have some sort of digital sound bubble/barrier that just excludes external noises at a push of a button!

I was reading somewhere before about how if that kind of speed were possible, it would ultimately lead to viruses, bacteria, diseases (carried by living humans) and whatnot spreading in a way that they couldn't before, because of the time constraints associated with them, and it would probably kill the species.

Id imagen be it 20 hours or 10 mins it wouldnt make much of a difference to a virus capable of killing humanity if your stuck on a plane with 500 potental carriers anyway so worry not sin we already have the ablity to spread such things the world over and basilcy have since the freaking wooden sailing ship like which brought the black death to europe

But it was something like there are already contagious diseases cause by snakebites and the likes, that kill the host too quickly for it to spread very far, and if the potential was there to take it to another continent, that kind of thing could spread or something. I really wish I had the article or whatever it was :P
