Hey, Im 19 years old and I have been on Jobseekers for a year this week. I have just gotten accepted for a full time Fás course and I was wondering am I entitled to 188 euro p.w sense I signed on JB last year or only 160 euro p.w? Sense they cut it back in January of 2013.

    I'm fairly sure it's 160 per week.

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

I went into Fás yesterday and I was asking someone at the front desk about the F103 form I have to have filled out by social welfare for Fás and at the top of that form there was a space were the amount I would be getting would have to be filled in. And she said it was 188 but she wasn't really clear about it as the Fás officer I had seen a few months prior while applying for the course said that I might only be entitled to the 160 sense they cut it in 2013.

Today I went into social welfare, Got the F103 filled out and sorted and I asked her If she knew how much I was entitled to and she said that Fás would tell me.
I have 306 signing days and more then 58 weeks on social welfare so the question still stands.

Am I entitled to the full 188? Has anyone been in the same or similar situation recently?

I would be grateful for any assistance.
