It's not a joke unfortunately - thankfully there have been plenty of replies from people that support (or previously supported) turfcutting that have told of their outrage and disgust at what was said about the Hen Harriers - gives me some hope! Those comments might have been deleted by the page since though...

Shows up these people for what they really are. Pity they don't have such consideration for the "small creatures" when they go incinerating them while clearing the gorse for their machinery.

Could their page have been hijacked? I don't use Facebook so don't know how or if this was possible. All I do know is someone with even the mental agility of a three year old would appreciate the huge damage such a post would do to their campaign .
And it's not just the comments have been deleted, the whole page appears to be gone....

Having seen that facebook page before and knowing the tone and mindset that is prevalent in all of their posts, I can assure you the page was not hijacked. The Hen Harrier post was in response to Hen Harrier information posted on another facebook page.

When I checked a while ago the page was there but the post was taken down, which I assume was by the makers of the page since some comments were deleted prior to that. If the whole page is gone I'd imagine it's because enough people reported it, so facebook took it down until they decide if it'll be permenantly taken down or not.

Edit: The whole page is still there - they just deleted the offending post and related comments.

we've so few raptors in this country that its sad to see efforts to bring back red kite, buzzard and hen harriers being hit with setback such as illegal poisoning etc
