Hey has anyone seen this website. http://www.boxymo.ie/
Seems to be a new insurance company that fits your car with a tracker device to measure your driving (speed, Acceleration, etc) Im 20 years old and male, just got a quote off them for €1200 fully comp on a 1.4L ford focus.
Just wondering has anyone heard of them before or knows if there a decent crowd to go with??

Oh yeah, I was on the road for about 7 months before summer and only drove about 6000Km. I only really use it for driving to college and small infrequent journeys.

That's a little over 10k pa. Have you checked how much extra kms will cost?

yep, i have its .14c for ecery extra km but im hoping i can get some of the extra 'reward kms' because i do drive quite slow and dont do much overtaking either.

For your projected usage, that sounds ok to me.

Looking at the bottom of that website, they are MCL. Think 25plus.ie etc
I had insurance with them before. I cancelled my policy ( I had 2 cars at the time and sold 1) as I didn't require it anymore.

They were very prompt in refunding me what was due from the remainder of the policy. I wouldn't hesitate with doing business with them again :)

Sounds like a nightmare to me. Still if you are happy with being monitored to that degree you must be driving very carefully. I'd have to attach it to my old tractor if I got it.

If you have any kind of "modification" to your car ie tinted windows, alloy wheels DO NOT TOUCH BoxyMo. My daughter had her policy cancelled because when they came to fit the tracker on her car they took pictures of it and said she had it modified with a light tint on the rear passenger windows. They kept her full deposit! :'(
