    Hi guys!
I am Giacomo and i have recently moved to south Dublin.
I have an old vintage bike which needs to be serviced. The bike is a Bianchi early 80s, equipped with Campagnolo Super record, and it needs a good check up. No major services are required but the bike needs to be lubed and oiled, new derailleurs cables, bottom bracked and steering checked and new tubolars.

As i do not have my tools here i cannot service the bike by myself. I wonder if you could suggest me a good shop where i can take the bike for the service.

The bike do not require a major service but give the value of my Bianchi i want that just competent people do the service.

    Thanks for your suggestion
    Giacomo.

Try Fitzcycles, see http://www.fitzcycles.ie/t/Workshop for rates etc. Not connected just had some great service from Karl and the team. Based on your side of the city also.

One of the users here runs a shop in Dolphin's Barn called Bee Cycles. He's a really top class mechanic and would give your bike an excellent service. Often in high demand and it's a one man operation, so he can be very busy. Got my own bike serviced there once and he did a perfect job, and he'd be familiar with old and unusual bikes too.

ThinkBike in Rathmines are also very highly regarded, very friendly bunch. Nearer to the city centre I've also been impressed with MacDonald's cycles on Wexford Street. I believe they also have a shop on Orwell Road in Rathgar but I've never been there personally.

Thanks guys. A collegue suggested me also to have a look at Harry's Bike in Clonskeagh. He had is old bike restored there. My beloved Bianchi is a little perl and does not need a restoration but a service. Does anyone had some experiences with Harry's bike? Thanks!
