Looking to buy a powertap ahead of the winter, will consider any wireless model that is at the right price (600 for a wheelset including tyres, cassette).

    Immediate purchase. Based in Dublin.

If nothing pops up then I will probably just buy a power2max, so if you are trying to get rid of an unwanted powertap, now is your chance. I have the money burning a hole in my pocket if you are eager to sell!

If you know somebody who qualified for Kona you could get them to buy the power2max for you with 22.6% off!

    Dirk,

    Any interest in an ErgomoPro?

No thanks Staro, looks like a good system but one of my issues is interchanging between bikes. I have both 10 and 11 speed, Ultra torque and Power torque...which makes even power2max difficult, but ergomo looks like a real hassle to swap around.

That's why I'm targetting powertap, easier for me to swap between the two bikes I would potentially use it with.

Excellent. If you can get details that would be great Pawlie, or PM me his email address if he isn't on boards.

You're Waterford, right? My Dad is down there a lot so collection isn't a problem.

A good deal but it's probably the now considered old stock. They have a new model out shortly.

I have one for sale 2013 g3 comes as a pair with front cyclops matching hub and mavic sup rims €800

Looks pretty savage Ricardo but outside my budget. At 800 I'd be more tempted by power2max and be able to use power for racing (analysis, TT efforts, etc.)

Oh, I should also have mentioned that any wheel needs to have a campagnolo freehub!

I`ve a brand new ,never used powertap campag 10/11sp freehub. Removed off new Powertap SL+ wireless freehub in May. Might help if Pawlie`s guys wheels are any good to yea.
Btw find the powertap excellent, simple, dependable and brilliant when working with more than one bike.
    60e for freehub posted.

the freehub on the powertap swaps without tools, my powertap was originally campag, but i bought the freehub and swapped it. simples. about 60 quid on usual place for free hub.

edit - i should have read the post from thedocman. LOL. I agree tho, powertap i have is very reliable. over a year in, ive changed the batteries twice and thats it.

@DirkVoodoo, I'm looking to get a Shimano freehub for an SL+ Powertap, so if you decide to buy a hub with a Shimano freehub with the intention of swapping it for a Campag one then I'd buy the Shimano one from you if it is in good condition. Might all be more hassle than it's worth for you of course, but it's something to consider.

Apologies, I didn't mean to imply swapping was a difficult job, but a 60 euro freehub adds considerably to the cost and might push me over budget.

I have a 3 month old powertap pro (the G3 new shape) laced in to the bespoke powertap rim. About 800miles on it.
Comes with receipt so you still have 21months warranty. It's shimano and I would just about take 600 Euro for it if you were interested.

Does it come with tyre? I'd be prepared to make an offer of 550 with tyre. I realise you would have bought it before the G3 price-drop.

Sorry I won't take a cent less than 600 even without a tyre

Just saw this on Wiggle. Tempted. Full warranty and unused are obviously reasons for spending that much. Still, I think it pretty much justifies me looking for a 600 euro second hand wheelset:

have you considered renting.. im renting a powertap wheel from chain driven cycles in Sligo.. 90 yoyo a month, pay through paypal and its couriered to you the next day.. comes with block, tyre and tube. No deposit, no strings attached..

great for having a try of one and deciding if you want to go the full whack...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,505 ✭✭✭✭DirkVoodoo

Yeah, considered renting a few years ago but at a stage where I know I would train with power and happy to invest the 270+ euro into actual ownership. Sure I'd probably only lose that in depreciation if I decided to sell after 3 months.

    Is this wheel sold ?
