Toshiba 40" smart tv for €429 plus €14 delivery. Has built in wifi, netflix, saorview, etc etc - see site for full details. Delivery in a little over 2 weeks is a little drawback but can live with this.

Seems a great deal to me (have taken the plunge).

Whats the view on this?

looks ok for the money i paid double this for my smart tv 18 months ago, cant say i use the smart side of it much good novelty at the start

The one review sdeire linked to on Toshiba.ie looks like a pissed off customer that can't get the wifi to work, nothing substantive about the TV itself.

Has Netflix pre-installed, and works well on the wifi. Picture and sound are fine.

I am very happy with the one I bought, and would recommend it.

Tempted by this, how do you find the internet? it seems by reviews it can be sluggish which would result in resetting the tv a lot

So far it has been fine, but I have not used it much. I have not had to re-set it at all though.

One gripe is that it does not seem to play flash-based websites......

Can be fuzzy on LED Backlight TV sets.

wouldn't be much good so for streaming football sites as flash would be needed.
