    Hi

I have a half marathon Saturday next.
I plan on going for 1 swim and I'll cycle everyday (not proper training sessions.)

What about running this week? What distances? maybe a 5 km?
    Is 8 km too much?

    (There's conflicting info online)

    Thanks

    Simon

It's really all relative to the type/extent of the training you've been doing to date. What has your weekly mileage been like up to now? What plan have you been following? A good rule of thumb might be to do 40-50% of the weekly running you would have been doing leading up to the race. So for example, if you've been running 30 miles per week, drop it back to 12-15 miles (spread over a few runs), so you're well rested and injury free for the big day.

As other sports/cross training, don't do anything that you wouldn't ordinarily do. So if you don't normally swim/cycle every day, don't start now. I would ease back on these workouts too, in the day or two before the race.

    Thanks for the advice,

I haven't been going by a plan per se. I've been clocking up about just 20 km per week for the last month.
But I alternate between boot camps, longs spins and swims and basketball sessions every day of the week with one rest day.
I usually manage these runs but I've never done a half so we'll see.
I just went for a 5 km run there.
I think I'll just go for a light swim tom and cycle Wed & Thurs.
    Thanks

I don't think you should get too stressed about tapering. Doesn't sound like you have too much to taper from!
