Lost key fob ford focus

Hi guys, I have a ford focus with just a blue chip key. I was looking to get a key fob used and reprogramme it to my focus.

I heard I needed a master key to programme any new key but saw videos where they just turned the new fob in the ignition 4 times.

Was wondering can I just get the fob and programme or do I need another key in addition to my blue chip to do this.

Somebody told me recently about a place in ballyboggan industrial estate that can make fobs, maybe try there out. It's north dublin just past glasnevin cemetery on the left. Can't remember the name though. Sorry for not having all the info.

What year is the Focus? What engine?

Someone on here recently enough got a new key fob from a ford dealer in newbridge. It was a bit cheaper then some of the key companies quoted so maybe worth giving them a shout.

Hi it's a 2002 1.6 petrol. I have actually got a fob and blade off eBay. Programmed the fob with my old key so just need to do the same so it can start the engine.
