Hi im new to this so not sure if i have posted in the right place, basically iv spent all evening searching the net for an answer to my question,iv found lots of info and similar questions but because of specific circumstances iv decided to post.i know i should be speaking to doctor which is on the cards but i wont be able sleep tonight worrying!ok enough blabbering,i had an accident and took the morning after pill about 30 hours after unprotected sex, that was about 7weeks ago and i have not had a period.but heres where it gets confusing,my daughter is 7months old,i breastfeed and have not had a period since giving birth.before anyone says you cant get pregnant breastfeeding i did a year ago and have 2 daughters 13months apart.with my first i got one period,3months after giving birth despite the fact i was breastfeeding and got pregnant then when my baby was 4 months.i was breastfeeding totally then, this time round i began spoon feeding and supplementing with formula at 3 months so im only partially breastfeeding.everything i have researched says if you only partial breastfeed you will ovulate.i really really can not afford to be pregnant again!i mean it would be awful!i split with my daughters' father when i was pregnant with the second, this accident happened when myself and a good friend got a tipsy and a bit carried away.im on my own with 2 babies and totally freaking out i could be pregnant, keep looking at my belly and it seems like a wee bump....please help!!!!!

Breastfeeding is not protection, you can still ovulate and get pregnant. I know it's no consolation but there is no knowing for sure unless you do a test so your beat best is to pick one up in the morning. Hope you get the result you're looking for.

I chose to breastfeed my daughters to give them the best start in life not for contraception so i was not even aware that many believe it prevents pregnancy, however from medical information it can and does suppress ovulation in many women.but not me obviously when i have already conceived while breastfeeding.its just the fact i hadnt had a period before taking the morning after pill and havent had one since....but yes you are right in what you're saying, the best thing for me is to go buy a test....i guess i just wanted to be told nope not possible your breastfeeding and took morning after pill cycle prob just messed up or something like that lol....so now for a night of worry :(

Nobody can tell you that it's impossible, because absolutely no form of contraception (or emergency contraception) is 100% effective.

Go buy a test in the morning. Or if there's a 24 hour Tesco anywhere accessible to you, go to one of those and buy one now, to stop you from worrying all night.

I'd say go to a 24 hour Tesco or Pharmacy if you can t get a test to put your mind at rest.
I don't mind to sound rude now but you really have to start being careful having sex and you need to make sure that the guy uses a condom. Not alone can you get pregnant again but you also face the risk of catching a minor or serious STD/STI!

Thanks, cant get one now.girls in bed sleeping.i know no one can tell me its impossible,i suppose i would just like to hear it and choose to believe it.oh and dont i know i should practice safe sex,i have got myself in this mess out of sheer stupidity.however i couldnt be happier i chose not to with the father of my children :) but i am really not ready for another on my own and to a different man who is a friend since school and this was the first time anything happened between us.2 back to back pregnancies and breastfeeding for over a year and a half,my body couldnt take it :(

Try not to panic, no one can tell you for sure either way but you can't do anything tonight so do your best to forget it.
With two small babies you need to be sleeping!!!

Best of luck with the test.
