If its for a basement and perhaps permanently in place you should then consider :

Canvas sheet on good underlay layers to 40mm (2 0r 3 layers)

Optional additional for protection and durability and better performance:

Above on ply (water proof) 16mm min
On treated lats on membrane sheet on floor (concrete i presume?)

Cut open a judo mat - its canvas wrapping underlay material with rubber base!
