Plastering external block walls

    im about to plaster some block walls about the place, where the old plaster was falling off.
    what mix of sand to cement do ya need
    should i use lime in the mix or will mortar plasticiser be ok, or use both

    First thing u would need to do is power wash walls take off any loose plaster then scud with sand and cement scratch coat and finish coat. For scudding it would have to be mixed at 1 to 1 with no plasticiser l Scratch coat would be mixed at 3 to 1 with wateprofer. Finish coat mixed at 5 to 1 with plastiser

    Buffalo billy has it well covered . The only thing I would add is a couple of shovels of lime in the mix for the finish coat
