whats the best way to go about (keeping straight and level) putting on a row of concrete wall caps on a block wall, these are the 1s that are tapered to the center.
would you use a straight edge lath the keep them in line or work to a rope line.
do i set the 1st and last 1 on and use a line from both (last 1 id say will have to be cut to fit in) or do i just work from 1 end setting 1 on a time keeping them straight and level
    thanks

When the blocklayer was building and rendering my side boundary wall and putting on the Tobermore stone cappings.....he set the 1st 2 stone cappings and then he ran his line to the far end of the wall and made sure it was tight/level.

He then set in the 1st stone capping at the far end and he worked his way back down to meet the others.A neat job and nice mortar joints/ lines too.:)

He then rolled out a 14 wide roll of DPC along the top of the stone cappings to prevent any rain showers during the day and night getting into the mortar.

He came back the next day, once the mortar had dried/set and removed the DPC.
