Costochondritis and Roadbikes?

    Mods: before I start, I'm not looking for medical advice, I've been to my GP and I've been living with this for about 2 years now.

    So, I have Costochondritis (slipped rib, pain in strenum/between the ribs) and unfortunately what ever way my bike is set up at the minute is setting it off again.

    Has anyone else had to deal with this, found changing their stem or bars have helped maybe? I'm trying to avoid taking meds as they're not really a solution, only a mask to the real problem.

    If anyone that has experienced this could maybe share their story I'd really appreciate it, this has stopped me cycling for a good while before and I'd prefer if the same didn't happen again.
    I'll probably pop into the LBS the next day I'm off for advice as well.
