Are you a trader or a buy and hold person?

I genuinely don't have the financial know-how to be a trader. I'm a lawyer first and foremost and that is the primary focus of my limited intellectual capacity. I have dallied with currencies in the past (I got fairly well burnt) and a few other short-term investments, none of which have been particularly successful due to me taking my eyes off the ball.

To answer your question, I would be more inclined to buy and hold at the moment since those investments can be less risky and do not require the same level of market knowledge. I'd hope to change that in the future.

Hello folks, apologies for the slow reply. I'm currently on holidays so won't be active in the board for a few days.

Bit of a background. I've been a long time lurker on this part of boards for a long long time. Have learnt a lot as a result.

I work for a fairly large prop trading firm but not as a trader. Just have an interest in trading and the markets and offered to help out in here when the call went out.
