.. both great cars. Never gave me any issue but became impractical when I started doing large miles

2006: 02 VW Passat 1.9 TDI Auto
.. Good car but a bad example of one Bought from what I later realised was a cowboy and sold when it needed about as much in repairs as it was worth

2008: 06 VW Passat 2.0 TDI DSG/Auto
.. Loved it. Did almost 200,000 km in it and never gave me any problems or repair bills beyond wear and tear stuff for that mileage. Still going strong when I sold it two months ago

2013: 05 Audi A6 3.0 TDI Quattro Tiptronic/Auto
.. My new baby Fantastic machine with all the extras (leather, xenons, all-round parking sensors, paddle-shift, full climate, BOSE sound system with CD changer and iPod/USB etc).
Surprisingly good on diesel for a 3L engine and extremely comfortable. Only downside is the tax bill, but such is life!

2009-2010 - a gorgeous little 00 Peugeot 206 which I proceeded to drive into a gate and destroy
2010-present - a silver 01 Toyota Corolla which is extremely reliable (except the sunroof which broke last year) and surprisingly economical considering its size. I crashed it into a shopping trolley so the bonnet is now slightly dented but aside from that it's still as good as the day I bought it.

2002 Peugeot 206 - learned everything in this lad, nice to drive but mechanically a curse of a thing
2007 Opel Corsa - a fine machine, very easy to work on and drives beautifully, 1.2 which is great for the petrol but steep hills are best avoided
