    Hi all,
Just looking for some advise, The horn appears not to be working on the car, I've checked the fuses both under in the car and under the bonnet and they appear to be fine, cleaned the contact that the horn is connected to behind the grill and still nothing.
It has always been a but iffy, sometimes it would work and other times it wouldnt.
I suppose it it something to do with a loose connection behind the steering rack but i wouldnt feel comfortable removing this myself because of the airbag, what kind of cost would i be looking at to get this fixed? I couldnt really care if the horn works or not but it is an NCT failure and i have it due april next year (still a good bit away i know :))

Could be anywhere between the switch and the horn.

You need to test each part of the circuit and find out whats faulty.

Airbag isn't a massive thing as long as the power is disconnected and you don't break the connection when there is power as it will leave an airbag light on that requires a reset via the ECU.

    Start at the horn.

Disconnect it at the grille where you have good access. With a multimeter check if you get power when the horn is pressed. Then you can also check if the horn itself works by connecting it straight to battery power.

sorry, forgot to mention that i had tested the cable going to the horn with a multimeter and it wasnt passing any voltage.

Any idea on a price for a garage to look at it?
