    Hi

Just wondering how easy it is to change the brake light bulbs on my '07 Fiesta? I think the lower brake lights might be OK to change but the high level one might have to be done by the mechanic when it goes in for the service.

    Opinions?

    TIA :)

Call around to halfords or independent garage today and get brake lights checked and bulbs replaced.
Its not something you can leave till next service

That's good advice, but what I was actually wondering was if they can be changed myself and the high level one left for the mechanic as it's LED?

Yes the can but im not familiar enough with 07 festia to advise

Im just wondering are all you brake lights not working ? If they all stopped working at once I be checking fuse or switch at brake pedal. Led brake lights rarely fail completely. Im a bit suspicious that it may be more than bulbs

It's just a bulb on them. Easy enough to change.

Usually you open the boot and look inside where the light assembly meet the body. There should be some plastic door there. Open/remove it and twist/pull appropriate bulb out.
Bring bulb into motor factors and say you want another just like it.
Put new bulb in and check operation.

Thanks for the tips guys. Got it sorted in the end. Went to Togher this am to take my dog to the vet, and there's an Auto Stop next door. So I took woofer for a walk whilst they changed the 3 bulbs. Cost me a tenner.

Be handy to know for next time though!:D
