New bike advice

Yes, another 'what bike should I buy?' question. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
I've been having a look around, LBS have recommended trek madone 3.1, kuota korsa lite or fuji grand fondo 2.3 but I'm wondering what other options I should look at.
I'm 5ft7 with shortish legs (29inch inseam),muscular, not hugely flexible, tend to cycle at higher cadence as I've SFA power. Like climbing hills but need a fairly low gear.
I currently have a Giant Avail 3 in medium but would like to upgrade to something lighter and more comfortable - I get rattled around so much just commuting, I'd like to have a smoother ride at weekends! I ride mainly for fitness and enjoyment but would like to do a few more sportives next year and the odd tri.
My budget is €1500 - €1800, could push it to €2000 if I didn't eat for the next few months...(at least might make it easier to climb hills..)
    Thanks.
