Now jaysus, I knew that the habits of single men were something that should be kept in their own four walls, but WTF?
A new survey has revealed that the average single British man changes his sheets only four times, wait for it, a year.

According to Digital Spy, a poll was carried out by mattress company Ergoflex which explored the hygiene habits of 2004 participants.

Of those who changed their sheets once every 3 months, 71% were men and 55% were aged between 18-24

Eeeeuwwwww! Maybe science should check those sheets out, could be a cure to cancer there.

To me thy should be changed every 10day... what do ya'll reckon?

It must be when the sheets stick to them as they get out of bed.

    Gross

At that rate it would be 'hard' to ball up sheets to fit in washing machine

    Be easier buy new ones!

Doesn't sound THAT crazy to me... *cough*

It also states that single women only change them every 2 and a half weeks and couple every fortnight. :(

    What is wrong with people?

And for another cohort of men, once a year is good.

    At Christmas.

This is why they're single men :(

Imagine sweating and ...other stuff.. in the same sheets for MONTHS at a time.

**** into a football sock definitely helps you get an extra month or two out of the bedsheets.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,692 ✭✭✭✭castletownman

What about the statistics illustrating the number of men who broke their legs attempting to make the bed, let alone change the bed sheets?

    It's a dangerous chore

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,800 ✭✭✭Senna

    Average British man.

Average Irish man still gets his mammy to change them.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,892 ✭✭✭spank_inferno

    Me neither.

Do you people sweat / bleed / urinate / man-milk in your sleep or something?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 11,255 ✭✭✭✭Esoteric_

I'd feel so dirty if I didn't change them at least once a week. I usually change them every 3 days or so.

Oh wait this thread can be about fapping :D
Imagine the spunk all over the sheets. Good god, you could spawn an entire army with one 18-24 year old mans spunk on his annually changed sheets.
I think they were called geenome soldiers in MGS...

I'm suppose to have sheets on the bed?

No joke, I once went home with a guy who had an uncovered duvet on the bare mattress.

Needless to say, I legged it.

I change mine once a week as well. It takes 5 minutes to change them so why not !!

I don't see what the big issue is to be honest, would you wear the same shirt for a week ?

Survey would have hardly got the name E**oflewx plastered all over the internet if had not found anything particularly shocking or noteworthy, now would it?

Now I'm not saying that companies that run these pointless surveys deliberately fix the survey or results to get the company name plastered all over the internet and tabloid newspapers when it finds 'shocking' results... Oh... oh wait... hold on... that's exactly what I'm saying...

Yes, and strangely enough, they had cases on them. Possibly the same ones that were on them when he moved out of home four years previously...

In that case he should have burned the mattress and duvet while he was at it.

And, actually, the entire apartment, now that I think of it.
