silage cut delay after fertilizer...

    I put on some fertilizer (18-6-12) about 3 weeks ago on some aftergrass,
    Thinking of cutting silage off it .........how long would I need to leave it before cutting to prevent spoiling the silage?
    2bags per acre went on

    Get a nitrates test done. I thought mine would be ok based on how much we apllied and the time period since application. I was told today after a mad high nitrates test to hold for a week but if weather was breaking to cut and ted it as dry as I could get it which would go a long way to countering the high N.
