I got accepted on a course Fetac Level 5 Nursing Studies. After this course I hope to go on to do a degree in General Nursing either in Ireland or the UK.

    I paid the registration fee.

In 2011 I started a Fetac Level 5 Hairdressing and Junior Trade Course but didnt finish it outright. I received BTEA while on this course.

Since 2012 I was on Jobseekers Allowance and receive Rent Allowance until present.

Now I got a letter back saying I was not entitled to BTEA

I appeal the BTEA and got a TD on to it. They still refuse me BTEA because I already hold a Fetac Level 5.

This country. They rather to pay you to sit at home than do something.

Just wondering is there a health care or nursing courses in level 6

or did anyone ever do a healthcare course with Fas

    Thanks

Is your course covered by VTOS? If I was you I would see if you can apply under this if you have not already used up your two years previously.

If your progressing to a Fetac 6 or higher they would not refuse.

I note you did a Fetac 5 but BTEA has to know you going on a higher level such as Fetac 6 .

    Regards.
