    http://www.nokia.com/gb-en/phones/phone/lumia800/specifications/

Would anyone know the processor in this. I think it is snapdragon but how powerful -dual core? - and how would it compare with an android tablet say google nexus?

Edit I think it is an 8 I am looking for info on. It has win phone 8 and no sd card

    And how much to unlock?

This is an 800, which can only support up to WP7.8. You should look at either the Lumia 820 or HTC 8x for similarly specced WP8 handsets

Sounds like the 925 or 920. The 820 has an SD card slot.

The 920 is a phone not a tablet. I've read there is a larger phone on WP8 platform coming later this year but if Nokia make a tablet it'll run windows 8 RT rather than the windows phoneOS software.

So called 1520 at the minute is the 6 inch, while the Sirius is 10" with RT

Yes you can check mail on it. It has a very good built in mail client and it works very well with all the common email services.

Comparing the OS to Android, opinions will differ somewhat, but the personally I think:
    + Looks better by default
    + Runs smoother, more responsive
+ Better built in functionality (better email,Office,Onenote,Skydrive, facebook, twitter etc)
    - Less customisable (can't install custom ROMS or change the UI much)
    - Less apps, or apps sometimes take longer to reach Windows Phone

it is expensive though. What would you think of an earlier version like the 520

I purchased a 520 for my Dad. It works quite well, I didn't really notice much of a speed difference between his 520 and my 925. His can take micro-sd cards but mine can't.

The big difference for me was the screen quality and the camera, the 925 is miles ahead of the 520 and the camera. As most of the pics I take are night time shots of my cats the 925 is deadly.

I would defiantly recommend the 520 to anybody who is budget orientated, it's around 100 euro. If your after a tablet for portable mail and web consumption then go with a Nexus 7. There's no 5-8 inch windows device that'd recommend that's on the market yet.

I haven't used the 520, but by all accounts it's a great phone and very good value for money.

Like Liamog says, the big differences will be in the screen and the camera. Another will be the amount of built in storage, if you're planning on loading a lot of music or video on to it you will want to get a micro-sd card, but they're very cheap these days.

The software will be almost exactly the same as the 920, and for most uses it will feel every bit as quick.

The best thing to do is try and find a shop that has both and try them out and see what you think.

The 520 is a great phone for the price - brilliant if you just want to see what WP8 can do. It's really quick and can run pretty much all of the apps.

The screen is obviously cheaper, as is the camera component. But for under €100 you can't really complain. I bought one for Mrs. F recently and I would almost consider getting one to replace my 3Gs (a great compliment if a hundred quid phone can turn your head from an iPhone)
