Parents' horror as Chinese boy, 6, has his eyes GOUGED OUT after being 'kidnapped by organ trafficker who stole both his corneas'

Youngster snatched while playing outside home in Linfen, Shanxi Province
Parents found him three hours later screaming in a field covered in blood

Kidnapper reportedly told boy: 'Don’t cry and I won’t gouge out your eyes'

Illicit trade fuelled because China has 300,000 on transplant waiting list

Probably one of the sickest stories I've ever came across, it shocks and frightens me that there are such evil people in the world...

I just hope maybe a legitimate donor can be found to help the kid, that's if anything can be done after the way he was left.

Sick f*cks. That poor child. Hopefully they track these people down and repay them in kind.

(I use that word 'people' very loosely. Animals may be better choice)

    Wow, that's horrific.
    Poor kid.

How people are willing to buy black market organs is something I can't fully comprehend. Never mind the organ traffickers. Both should be locked away for the rest of their lives.

I don't even know where to start with this, sick to the stomach that people that evil are out there.

The poor kid, this world has some evil, vile people in it.

He got a warning. They really take their family planning seriously over there.

If my mother was anything like that there would be several playstations and xboxes over the wall and I would be dead.

    Some strange people over there

Edit; Is this more just daily mail crap.

He got kidnapped right, then he was told to not cry or else his eyes would be coming out. Would they not have had to take the eyes out anyway?

Perhaps some dont know where they come from. Some turn a blind eye.

    burn the bondholders.
Oh no, wait. What if some went to actual hospitals?

Do you know where the meat from a restuarant comes from or care?

China scares me more than the USA now going forward, the whole population of Ireland would be a small village over there population wise.

    What?

Horrific story, I'm sorry I read it.

    Its a joke.

    ''the kidnapper warned him''

Its the daily mail so I took it with a big pinch of sensational salt

DailyMail or not, it's a legitimate story.
Although, I'm not sure how credible it is that the kidnapper actually said this,
'Don’t cry and I won’t gouge out your eyes'

I'm glad I'll be dead in 50 or 60 years as I'm not sure I want to see what the next depths of human depravity will be.

The trouble is there isn't a punishment in all of (un)civilisation to fit this crime. Perhaps removing all the offenders organs for donation and leaving the remnants hooked up to life support for the rest of their natural existence might be the closest thing, however we'll just have to hope hell exists after all.

Yes, the ol chinese like a spot of family planning.

The daily mail should be banned on here.

I'd advise you to stay away from the history books so.........

As a comforting aside, at least the poor boy will never have to see the daily mail.

You should be banned from here.

Maybe I am cranky waiting for dinner and wandered into the wrong thread but I never really cared about these stories that happen a few thousand miles away that are so disconnected to my life here. Call me insensitive all you like.

The mail once tried to scientifically prove cats were better than dogs, thats when the penny dropped for me.

Ill grab my coat and my knife and fork and leave this thread.

How evil and depraved do you have to be to that to another human being? The levels some people sink to never fails to horrify me.

I hope she and whichever other piece of scum uses that boy's organs never have a day's peace for the rest of their rotten, miserable lives.

The "Sad Endings" thread yesterday had me feeling a bit low today, but this has just floored me.

There are no words to describe the degree of cruelty here. Removing both eyes is insanely evil, even for a country like China where compassion for children sometimes seems to be a scarce commodity (remember that story about the kid being run over by a car?).

This is precisely the sort of crime for which a death sentence is appropriate.

I understand. It can be hard to relate stories of chemical weapons and civil wars to your own comfortable life. Even when you read of the mass suffering, it's easy to distance yourself because you have not lived in that environment, and a part of you says 'but sure, they bring it on themselves, don't they?" or "why can't they live in peace the way we do here?".

But a story like this hits me in the same way that the James Bolger story hit me 20 years ago. There is no war backdrop to the story, no context in which man's inhumanity to man might be explained. A young, healthy child has their sight stolen permanently (and to correct somebody's earlier post here . . . there is currently no technology by which donor eyes can be transplanted in order to restore this boy's sight) and they are now condemned to live a life denied the beauty of the world.

I feel ill, and it has been a long while since I've read a story that has upset me so much.

Was just about to post that you can't transplant eyes. Seems it was done just for the sake of it, not for financial gain.

I think you can transplant corneas though. They found the eyeballs without the corneas. :(
