Any half decent rental crowd should provide insurance.
Don't think it's too easy to get a policy for a few days, especially as you won't own the car....

Never heard of a rental co that doesn't provide insurance... and I rent a lllott of cars. Is it because you're under 25? Normally they refuse to rent or charge a huge extra.

Edit: I remember an ad on UK telly for short term insurance... anything from 1 day, but I don't know if it would happen in Ireland.

Any big crowd will have insurance included. Tourists rent all the time without issue.

You have a 14 day cooling off period for all insurance but they may not insure you at all if the car is rented.
