    It's a 1997 Toyota Hilux Single Cab 2.5 Ltr Diesel 4WD with 117,000 miles

This is the same model of 4x4 that feature on TopGear

Depends on condition. Theyre not an expensive machine new compared to a double cab.
Most of them are wrecked now and worth nothing. I dont think youd get 3 or 4 grand for it though even in top condition.

Im thinking 2500 if its a good one

Mechanically its in great shape, there is some knocks etc on the body. but to be expected as father has being using it for last few year for light farming work. the first owner 11 years kept it in a shed and was used to transport fruit at weekends so its quite unlike most under the bonnet, very clean. explains why mileage quite low for its years.

I attached a gif, to me its in very good condition know its hard to tell from a pic, but would be grateful

It could do with a clean to be honest. Having a coat hanger as an aerial doesn't give the best impression.

Cheers good feedback, the photo is a bit old and the aerial has being fixed since, but he probably has not cleaned it, cheers will tell him to get it cleaned inside and out.

Selling cars is 90% presentation. A clean car also gives the impression of a well looked after car.

    ^^^^+1

A good clean and polish for the exterior & interior.
Good pictures of the exterior & interior and a good description.

I have a 2001 Landrcruiser LWB Commercial that I have had since about 2007. I don't use it that much, but for what I do use it the utility value of it far exceeds what I might realise in a sale. Vehicles like that are worth their weight in gold to the person that knows their history. But on the open market they're not valued. Does he really need to get rid of it? Is there a family member or friend that might use it?

Where are you getting them mad figures out of. I'd never pay that much for it.
