Use the search function, plenty of threads already about the stuff, sure there's already a thread about Thursday's stuff on the front page of the forum.

Lidl/Aldi socks are fantastically comfortable and good value. Gloves are fine for a fiver. Jerseys are great for a tenner considering you get three pockets and a zip pocket. The designs and prints can be a bit dodgy though!

There's plenty of people willing to bash their stuff so they can feel better about justifying their purchases of more expensive gear.

+1 on the socks and their black and pink gloves match the boards kit  The other socks I love in lidl are the ski socks, these are awesome in the winter.

In my experience the base layers are great, socks and shell jackets fine - everything else is pretty poor!

To be fair I found this the case too, base layers are fine and I'm still using socks. When I started cycling I spent around €250 on Lidl/Aldi gear and most of it has been binned. Track pump, mini pump, jersey, shorts, cycle computer x 2, over shoes, mini tool and more all sitting in a landfill now. I believe you get what you pay for in Cycling gear.

Aldi/Lidl stuff is often a place to start when new into cycling. No point spending a load of money on top class quality gear if one year down the road the bike has cobwebs on it. Jerseys, gloves, socks, base layers, winter jackets are generally grand

Agreed, except for the repair stand which is a handy piece of kit for the money. The heavy Aldi cycle jacket gets a bit sweaty, wouldn't recommend it for anything long distance.

Another "is Lidl/Aldi gear any use" thread?

I might start a "recommend me a bike for €1k" to really spice things up.

I am about to use the BTW scheme and was wondering what bits of Lidl/Aldi kit I should buy? Budget is 1000 euro for gear as I already have a bike  Thanks in advance :P

I bought one of the lidl jerseys during the summer and I think its such good quality and a brilliant fit plus it has a zip pocket which is hard to find on many jerseys. Its been washed about 20 times so far and still looks like new. I'm only sorry I didnt buy a second one.

I have bought 3 or four pairs of their gloves, theyre good for the price of them and I simply throw them away after theyve been worn for a few months.

I bought the lidl tool kit and have used several of the pieces a few times no with no complaints. Its a handy kit if you plan on doing routine servicing an changing cassettes/cranks etc etc

I would avoid their shorts as the padding looks poor.
