    Its just salts, many people make their own sports drinks with regular table salt (sodium chloride) or with lo-lo salt, (potassium chloride + sodium chloride). Commercial expensive versions would be dioralyte

    I eat salted peanuts instead. I also sometimes drink dilute baking/bread soda (sodium bicarbonate), this neutralises acid which then turns it into salt , which then should have the electrolyte effect.
