Now you look like you're talking to yourself! My apologies. I deleted my post when I reread the title correctly.

According to the RSA the 6 month rule is only for bikes (A, cars (B) and work vehicles (W). There's no minimum for lessons for C or D, but the test is dearer so make sure your confident you'll pass.

I did C lessons and test in 2003 with no experience of truck driving.

I booked 8 hours (lessons) plus 2 hours (1 hr lesson just before the test and 1 hr use of truck for the actual test) and passed the test. I would recommend at least 8 hours if starting from scratch.

I'm currently considering booking some 'C+E' (Artic) driving lessons:eek::D

While the reversing can be difficult, not everyone finds it so. Don't panic the poor person before they get started.:)
