Cardio problems

    Hi guys,

Just looking for some suggestions/advice. I'm new to lifting weights so a few weeks ago I went to a pt and got myself a beginners programme. So for the last while I've been doing a logical body sequence workout 3 times a week, taking a day inbetween each. I'll be changing it up again pretty soon though :)

Before I started this I use just do 3/4 days a week cardio (run or spin class) and my reasoning for switching over was to do with my asthma. With the heavy weather and high pollen count I've just been finding it impossible. Now I still want to do one day a week cardio so I've been going out for 4/5 mile walks at night but I don't know if that's enough??

Any advice would be great :)

Hi, any amount of cardio is good. Maybe do half hour to an hour of walking 3-4 times a week and maybe 1 spin class a week if you find the pollen is lower. Weight lifting is good for you cause you have asthma but you still need to work your heart and lungs BUT just make sure you warm up and cool down for at least 10-15 minutes to make sure your heart rate comes down slowly.

    Hope this is helpful :)
