Want to take the wife away to Dublin as a surprise,we have a 7 month old at home and she needs a break. Can only go from 13th to 15th September(other weekends are All Ireland Final weekends).Prices are a bit crazy, tried trivago,hotels.com,booking.com,roomex etc but all are expensive.Anyone got voucher/discount code they're not using?Just looking for a decent hotel thats not mad expensive.

That's the weekend of flightfest. Have a look at www.flightfest.ie that might explain why it's hard to get a cheaper hotel.

All I can help with hotel choices is to try www.lidlbreaks.ie They do offers at a set price irrelevant of what's on for the weekend. It's just on busier weekends, some hotels might not offer this.

Dunboyne castle hotel +spa do great deals...check online..Food and rooms amazing and only 15 min from dublin city centre...Staff will pick u up from train station if u phone them... We actually arranged a cab for us with Fixicabs(who give fixed cab prices from destinations ) and went to Blanchardstown shopping centre one day (8 mins away ) and city centre another day...V reasonable..Would highly recommend!
