So I was wearing Nike Free 5.0's and was doing HIIT around my estate in poor lighting. (Awful idea I know). As I was slowing down from a sprint I went over on my ankle after stepping on a small hole on the road. Was diagnosed as a torn lateral ligament and chipped ankle bone aswell.

Going to start rehab/ light exercise this week. I'v no interest in long distance running. I do my squats, deadlifts etc barefooted, so I just need a runner that will minimise the risk of re-injuring my ankle. I do lots of skipping, box jumps and crossfit style workouts. I'm not sure if I should go for a ''minimalist'' type of runner like the Vibrams, or one with a big heel like the Aasics ones. Anyone any suggestions?
