My brother is applying to repeat his LC, does he have to do Irish? He wants to pick 6 subjects that he's good at & Irish is not one of them. Sorry if this should be in the LC forum.

He does not have to do Irish. If he want's to go to a college in the future he will need a minimum of a pass in ordinary level Irish for entry to most colleges. While points may only be calculated from one sitting subjects that have been passed can be carried over for entry requirements. If he passed Irish before he doesn't need to do it now for college.
