Rim tape that will stay in place and quality shock-cords query?

    1) My rim-tape seems to move every time I change a tyre and the spoke-holes get exposed. Is there any brand of wide tape that will stay in place?

    2) I've bought a few bunches of shock-cord for securing bike on racks etc but they were hopeless quality - when they stretch they stay stretched. Anyone know good quality brands on-line

I like the Velox cloth rim tape, has lasted years on my commuting wheels.

The green plastic Michelin ones have always worked well for me.

Is this ok with a rim for tubes? Is it a matter of just cutting it and making a valve-hole?

Yeah, will work no probs! Some people just use gorilla tape. Clean the rim first, debur any edges and wipe with some alcohol.
